Catherine Sanderson will be at the following events with her Bach Flower Remedies, herbal teas, dried herbs, and herbal soaps.  Tickets for all workshops on sale from her stall at these markets.  Come along and say hello!

Sanderson’s Herbal Workshops 


Saturday 14th September   The Naturally Herbal Kitchen Workshop

Norham Village Hall  10.30am-3.00pm   £45.00 (includes a sandwich lunch)

During this workshop we will make herbal products for your kitchen such as  a kitchen counter cleaner, laundry detergent, ironing spray, washing up liquid, food wrap, and a fragrant kitchen candle. Please bring an apron to protect your clothes.

Tea and coffee will be available throughout the workshop on a self-service basis and the Mason’s Arms in Norham are providing sandwiches and fruit for lunch which is included in the ticket price.

Recycle and Share: if you can, please bring along clean jam jars with lids, old kitchen cleaner spray bottles, and old washing up liquid bottles to share.  Tickets from Catherine at above events or from  Eventbrite  


Saturday 5th October  Herbal Preparations for Winter Ailments Workshop

The Hirsel Arts & Crafts Centre  10am-1.00pm   £30.00 

Making traditional remedies for winter ailments such as cough syrup, decongestant salve, winter lip balm, winter infusions, and oxymel. Lots of stirring and simmering at this workshop so please bring your apron.

There is a parking charge of £2.50 per car at The Hirsel but when you book this workshop you will recieve a free pass for the day.

There is a lovely cafe here at The Hirsel if you wish to buy lunch or a snack and afterwards you may like to browse in the craft shops and gallery or take a walk by the lake or in the grounds. Book this morning workshop and enjoy the rest of the day at The Hirsel.

Saturday 26th October  Roots: Medicine & Magic Workshop

The Hirsel Arts & Crafts Centre  10.30am-3.00pm   £40.00 

Working with the roots of herbs and finding out about their medicinal and magical traditions. Making some old-fashioned remedies, ointments, infusions, and a tincture. Lots of roots to handle and prepare so bring an apron.

There is a parking charge of £2.50 at The Hirsel but when you book this workshop you will receive a free pass for the day.

There is a lovely cafe where you can buy lunch or a snack or you can bring a packed lunch with you. Tea and coffee will be available during the workshop on a self-service basis. At lunchtime and afterwards there will be a chance to browse in the gallery and craft workshops…a great place to find that special Christmas gift!

Saturday  16th November  The Fragrant Christmas Workshop

Norham Village Hall  10.30am-3.00pm   £45.00 (includes a sandwich lunch)

Making Christmas home fragrances including pot-pourri and a reed diffuser.  For those special Christmas Cards we will show you how to fragrance paper, make scented ink, write with old fashioned ‘dip-in-ink’ pens, and use sealing wax. Please bring an apron to protect your clothes while working with the ink and the wax.

You will take home your pot-pourri, a reed diffuser, a dip-in-ink pen, a little scented ink and paper.

Recycle and Share: if you have any small jars with tight lids for ink, please bring them along to share. Tickets from Catherine at above events or Eventbrite


Tuesday 26th November  The Magic of Christmas Workshop

Paxton Village Hall  10am-1pm   £30.00 

Making some lovely Christmas gifts including crystallised ginger, scented wax melts, bath salts, ginger and orange cordial, and frankincense hand cream.

This workshop will smell fabulous! Please bring an apron as there will be preparation, stirring, and simmering,
